Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN), accorded a special
consultative status by United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), is
a Non-Governmental uniformed youth organization that focuses on working with
the youth in getting to know them, their personalities, dreams, aspirations,
fears, failures; successes and their passions.
Founded by a youth strategist, Ambassador (Dr)
Dickson A.O AKOH, FCITr,FCPA. On 10th
July, 1998, in the ancient city of Kaduna in Northern Nigeria, PCN, in its
commitment to National Creativity, Peace and Youth Development, is registered
in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990.
In order to captured Nigerian youth and to serve as
employment opportunity for the unemployed graduate in Nigeria, the leadership
of the organization took a bold step to forward the PCN bill to the National
Assembly, after many presentations the leadership of the National Assembly
affirmed the bill in other exist as a paramilitary organization to curb the
challenges of security in Nigeria and for employment opportunity likewise to assist
all others security agencies in Nigeria.
